ICD-9 and ICD-10 Codes for International Classification of Diseases codes (ICD codes) are based on the World Health Organization’s various revisions of the International Classification of Diseases. These codes are used to index morbidity and mortality figures for statistical purposes, and have also been adopted to index hospital records and procedures.
