• US Clinical Preventive Services Task Force, Evidence-based Guidelines for 169 preventive services, adults and children.
• University of Massachusetts Medical School, Lamar Soutter Library, Evidence-Based Practice for Public Health. This site provides information on a federally funded project to (1) identify and evaluate evidence-based projects in public health practice; (2) develop a web site to disseminate information on evidence-based public health practices; (3) create an electronic database of preferred models; and (4) create a training program for public health practitioners.
• Evidence-Based Resources for Public Health. Site provides brief description and links to a variety of evidence-based resources.
• Healthy People 2010 Access Project: This site was developed by the National Library of Medicine with assistance from the Public Health Foundation and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine to make searching for evidence-based public health strategies easier for people. The site has developed pre-formulated search strategies for information related to Healthy People 2010 focus areas.
• Best Practices, US DHHS Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
• Effective Public Health Project to assess the quality of studies used in generating evidence. Created by the Ontario Ministry of Health in conjunction with the City of Hamilton Public Health and Community Services. Site has links to registry of published systematic reviews on effectiveness of public health interventions; a Quality Assessment Tool for Quantitative Studies; and Dictionary for the Effective Public Health Project Quality Assessment Tool .
