NANA convened a national work group of 50 organizations to develop a model set of policies for local school districts in response to federal mandates for schools providing federally funded food programs National Diabetes Education Program Collaboration between CDC, NIH and 200 partners national wide to address diabetes prevention and control. Founded by Dr. C. Everett Koop, former US Surgeon General. Strategic Alliance to Prevent Childhood Obesity: Nutrition and Physical Activity (national organization but strong focus on California).
